    • The ACA requires all 501(c)(3) tax-exempt hospitals to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years, starting with the hospital's tax year beginning after March 23, 2012.       St. Vincent's Birmingham is a 439-bed hospital campus providing services without regard to patient race, creed, national origin, economic status, or ability to pay. During fiscal year 2022, St. Vincent's Birmingham treated 18,229 adults and children for a total of 89,934 patient days of service. The hospital also provided services for 145,527 outpatient visits, which included 26,722 outpatient surgeries and 39,227 Emergency Room Visits.
