The ACA requires all 501(c)(3) tax-exempt hospitals to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years, starting with the hospital's tax year beginning after March 23, 2012. The 2011 Schedule H included an optional section of questions on the CHNA process. This web tool includes responses for those hospitals voluntary reporting this information. BEYOND PROGRAMS DISCUSSED IN THE STRATEGY, THE HOSPITAL IS ADDRESSING MANY OF THESE NEEDS SIMPLY BY PROVIDING CARE TO ALL, REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY.
